Definitely not. The IDSRA competition caters for all grades of players. Each division represents a different grade of ability, and within each division, there are positions which cater for variation within that grade. You will have no trouble finding a suitable position where you can play with people of a similar ability. You will also find that playing competition squash will help to improve your own standard quite rapidly.

How often are the IDSRA squash competitions held?

The IDSRA runs two squash competitions each year - a Spring Competition and an Autumn Competition. The Autumn Competition runs roughly from February through to June, and the Spring Competition is approximately July through to November.

How can I start playing competition squash?

Firstly you will need to choose a club for whom you wish to play. This might be your nearest squash courts, or a club of which you are already a member. The list of clubs on this site will help you to select the most suitable club. You can then contact the club for more details.
